George Lansing ("Lance") Taylor, Jr. is an avocational photographer and University of North Florida Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer. The collection consists of more than 7,000 photographic images, in electronic format, taken by Taylor of historic architectural sites in the United States, primarily in Florida and Georgia. The images, dated between 2005-2011, provide visual documentation of athletic venues, bridges, cemeteries, churches and synagogues, clubs and associations, college campuses, commercial enterprises, financial institutions, fire stations, hospitals, hotels, libraries, lighthouses, memorials and monuments, museums, national parks, post offices, public buildings, residences, schools, signs and historic markers, and theaters.

George Lansing ("Lance") Taylor, Jr. is a native Floridian, born in Live Oak, FL. His family moved to Jacksonville when he was six years old. Taylor attended private and public schools in Jacksonville and graduated from the University of North Florida (UNF) in 1974 with a B.A. in Computer Science. He received his M.B.A. degree from UNF in 1986. With the exception of a brief stint in the private sector, Taylor has worked at UNF since 1974.
